Annual arts fete begins at Darul Huda

MALAPPURAM: Star War 08, the annual arts festival of the student of Darul Huda Islamic Academy, Chemmad, began on the academy campus on Sunday. Bahauddeen Muhammed Nadvi, vice-principal of the academy, inaugurated the festival. Competitions to be held in the four-day Star War include mock parliament, programme setting, Fatwa council, mock press, newspaper designing, reverse quiz, literary events and debates. The festival will conclude on Wednesday with a public meeting to celebrate Prophet Mohammed’s birthday. — Staff Reporter
