“Young graduates should contribute to the nation”
Special Correspondent
VILLUPURAM: Whatever be the career prospects abroad one should contribute something in some form to the motherland, said V.Iraianbu, Secretary, Department of Tourism and Shelter, Tamil Nadu Government.
He was speaking at the “Tenth graduation-2007” of V.R.S.College of Engineering and Technology at Arasur near here. He said there were a few who treat their organisation as a world and suffer; and there were a few who conceive world as their organisation and prosper.
There was always a question whether exodus of engineers was a brain drain or a brain bank. Mr. Iraianbu said he was of the view that “our talents should be utilised for the benevolence of our nation.”
One should never aspire for easy money and quick wealth. Ethics in business and purity in profession would provide inner richness and therefore the young graduates should try to acquire the latter and should never compromise on this score.
He further said college life was the real acid test for judging the character of an individual.
Vijaya Muthuvannan, Chairperson of the college, N.Muthuvannan, Director, S.R.Ramanathan, Secretary and Correspondent, and, R.Gurumani, Principal Incharge, spoke.
