Staff Correspondent

MUNDAGOD (Uttar Kannada): Tibetans settled in various camps at Mundagod in Uttar Kannada have been staging peaceful protests since the Lhasa riots. Inmates of various monasteries and students of Tibetan schools in Mundagod have been staging a relay hunger strike since March 13.

“At least 35 Tibetans participate in the strike daily,” said Sonam Dorjee, member of the Doeguling Tibetan Solidarity Committee. According to the committee, the strike will be temporarily suspended from Tuesday.
