Section 30 invoked

The Commissioner of Police, acting in his capacity as Additional District Magistrate for the Vijayawada metropolitan area, invoked Section 30 of the Indian Police Act, 1861 from April 1 to June 30, as per which prior permission of the police would be needed for conducting any public meeting, demonstration or rally in the area of Police Commissionerate.
