Karnataka bus picketted

The City Police on Monday night removed six activists of the Hindu Makkal Katchi on charges of picketting a Karnataka State Transport Corporation bus at the Coimbatore Express Bus Stand shortly before its departure. The police said the activists raised slogans condemning the attitude of the policitcal parties in Karnataka in stalling the Hogenekkal water supply scheme. They raised slogans in protest against the stoning of cinemas screening Tamil movies and establishments run by Tamils. The Bangaolore-bound bus left Coimbatore after a brief delay.
