Post office receives ‘bomb’ parcel

KARAIKAL: The Head Post Office here in the Union Territory of Puducherry on Saturday received a parcel with the inscription that it contained a bomb and should be handed over to the Inspector of the Karaikal town police station.

It was also written that some terrorists had intruded into Karaikal and Nagapattinam areas and would attack police stations any time.

The postmaster immediately alerted the police.

The parcel contained two small batteries, two match sticks and a piece of wire. The police are investigating. — Special Correspondent
