IOC wins title

Mumbai: Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) beat Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) to win the BPCL-sponsored 28th Petroleum Sports Promotion Board inter-unit cricket tournament here on Monday.

Rohit Sharma and Cheteshwar Pujara hit half-centuries as IOC set a formidable target. BPCL fell short by 74 runs.

The scores: IOC 275 in 45 overs (Cheteshwar Pujara 57, Rohit Sharma 51, Ravikant Shukla 42) bt BPCL 201 in 44.2 overs.

Player of the tournament: Rajesh Pawar (IOC); Best batsman: Cheteshwar Pujara (IOC); Best bowler: Rajesh Verma (BPCL); Best fielder: Ajinkya Rane (IOC). — Special Correspondent
