Seven held for impersonation

NEW DELHI: Seven people, including four doctors, have been arrested by the Crime Branch of the Delhi Police for allegedly taking the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination here on Sunday on behalf of genuine candidates against monetary consideration.
The Crime Branch recently received a tip-off that some persons, including doctors, would sit in the examination being conducted at Kendriya Vidyalaya inside the JNU campus in place of the real candidates. It is mandatory for students from foreign university to pass this exam to practice in India.
Developing the input the police arrested seven people, identified as Amit, Vishal, Amit Kumar, Anupam Anand, Nagender, Ravinder and Gaurav, all residents of Bihar. During interrogation, Amit, Anupam Anand, Amit Kumar and Gaurav disclosed that they were doctors. Some of the other accused have been identified as Baghel Hridyendra Singh, Mukesh Sharma, Divyesh Jayantilal Gajera, all doctors, and Sanjay Kumar. The police said Dr. Amit was offered Rs.60,000 by Vishal to appear for Dr. Gajera.
