Four hurt in fireworks blast

MALAPPURAM: Four persons were injured, one of them seriously, in a fireworks blast at Kunninmel Bhagavati Temple at Anamangad in the district in the early hours of Tuesday.

T. Udayakumar, 26, was admitted to hospital with serious burns.

The others injured in the blast were identified as Sudheesh, Mata and Kali. They were preparing the dynamites to be used for the fireworks display during the ongoing temple festival when the blast took place.
