Temple pond closed to visitors

Guruvayur: Rudrap theertham, a pond at the Guruvayur Sreekrishna temple, will be closed to visitors till Thursday, officials of the Guruvayur Devaswom said on Tuesday.

The body of Gopalakrishnan (40), son of Govindaswamy of Akkinathapuram at Mavattom, Kalyanapuram, in Thanjavur, was found in the pond on Monday night.

“Punyaham” rites will be performed at the pond on Thursday. — Staff Reporter
