Bangalore varsity annual examination notified

Bangalore: Bangalore University has notified the annual examinations of B.A./ B.F.A./ B.V.A./ B.Sc./ BSLPA/ B.Com/ B.B.M./ B.H.M./ B.C.A./ B.Li.Sc. (semester under-graduate and regular courses), which will be held during May/June 2008. The detailed time table will be notified in due course.

A press release said that the last date for paying the examination fee and submitting the applications to the principals / heads of institutions, Bangalore University affiliated colleges, Directorate of Correspondence Courses, and Tumkur University affiliated colleges (annual scheme repeaters only) without fine is April 15 and with a fine of Rs. 100 April 25.

Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes/ Backward Tribes categories, whose family annual income is not more than Rs. 11,000 are exempted from the payment of examination fee only.

The students, who have completed more than six years from the date of their admission to B.A./ B.Sc./ B.Com./ B.B.M. degree courses under annual scheme, are not eligible to appear for the examination. This is following a resolution passed by the Academic Council on September 25, 2006, and a university notification issued on December 13, 2006.

The practical examination timetable for courses will be notified by the Chief Superintendents of the examination centres concerned.

The detailed timetable for the theory examinations will be notified in due course. The practical examinations may be conducted before the theory examinations. The principals/ heads of the institutions have been directed to submit the practical marks list to the university before the commencement of the theory examinations, the release added.
