SSN College clinches title

CHENNAI: Host SSN College of Engineering won the State-level inter-Engineering college cricket tournament with a 37-run win over Hindustan College of Engineering in the final.

The scores (final):

SSN College of Engineering 147 for four in 20 overs (Sriram Sridharan 50) bt Hindustan College of Engineering 110 in 18.3 overs (Dharminsha three for 20).

Third place: Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering 113 in 20 overs (R. Aravind 44, Pratheesh Kumar three for 11) bt College of Engineering 44 in 11 overs.

Nagarajan scalps six

K. Nagarajan’s six for 23 enabled Reliance script a four-wicket win over Tata Indicom in the V.S. Sports Network 20/20 telecom cricket tournament held here recently.

The scores: Aircel 118 for eight in 20 overs (Venkatramanan 33, Prabhakar three for 27) bt Vodafone 116 for nine in 20 overs (Irshed 26, Venkataraghavan three for 16).

Tata Indicom 118 for nine in 20 overs (Prem 38, Vaithyanathan 25, Arun 32, K. Nagarajan six for 23) lost to Reliance 121 for six in 18.2 overs (N.P.R. Chandran 57 not out, Balakrishnakumar four for 23).
