MoU to achieve AAI target

NEW DELHI: A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between Civil Aviation Secretary Ashok Chawla and Airports Authority of India Chairman K. Ramalingam to achieve the AAI’s target in key areas with “gross margin” of Rs. 2,100 crore for 2008-09 as against Rs. 1,850 crore in 2007-08.
The MoU parameter includes improvement of customer satisfaction and enhancement of non-aeronautical revenue. To improve efficiency of cargo processing, AAI targets to process 96 per cent of international cargo (export) in two days and 98 per cent of international cargo (export) in 24 hours.
