Kale chosen for Aryabhata Award

Bangalore: The Astronautical Society of India has selected Pramod Kale, Director of Pune-based Integrated Circuit and Information Technology Pvt. Ltd., for the Aryabhata Award - 2006.
Among other awards that are to be given away are Rocket and Related Technologies (T. Sundararajan, IIT, Chennai); Spacecraft and Related Technologies (S.S. Rana, Space Applications Centre, Ahmedabad); Space Systems Management (K. Suryanarayana Sarma, ISRO Satellite Centre, Bangalore); and Space Science and Applications (V.S. Hegde, ISRO, Bangalore). Winners of the ISRO-ASI Awards 2006 are John P. Zacharaiah, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Thiruvananthapuram (Rocket and Related Technologies); C.L. Nagendra, Laboratory for Electro-Optics Systems, Bangalore; and V.K. Lakshmeesha, ISRO Satellite Centre (Spacecraft and Related Technologies). The Women Scientist Award 2006 goes to M. Vanitha, ISRO Satellite Centre, Bangalore; and Jollydhar, Space Applications Centre, Ahmedabad.
