Sena plans stir

Special Correspondent

MUMBAI: The Shiv Sena on Wednesday criticised Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar’s statement that rising wheat prices are due to a shift in dietary habits in the south and north-eastern States, and proposes to launch a stiff anti-price rise stir in the State from the Maharashtrian New Year, Gudi Padva, which falls on April 6.

Sena deputy leader Neelam Gorhe and several members of the Sena Mahila Aghadi told reporters that the government was unable to control the rising prices and there were not enough food stocks.
