NEW DELHI: National chess champion Surya Shekhar Ganguly’s long wait to breach the coveted 2600-point rating mark has ended. When FIDE updated India’s rating on Wednesday, Ganguly was rated at 2614, a gain of 35 points since January 1. He also became only the fifth Indian to be rated above 2600. India’s top 20: 1.
