Youth Games set to be postponed

BANGALORE: The inaugural National Youth Games, which was scheduled to be held in Bangalore from May 11 to 18, is set to be postponed in view of the State Assembly Elections.

The Election Commission on Wednesday announced three-phase polling in the State on May 10, 16 and 22, which clash with the schedule of the Games.

Though there has been no official announcement about the postponement, sports administrators concede that it would be difficult to stick the original schedule now in view of the State polls.
