CHANDIGARH: There will be no dearth of motivation for Kolkata Tigers when it takes on Lahore Badshahs in the second semifinal of the Indian Cricket League’s Edelweiss 20s Challenge at the Tau Devi Lal Stadium here in Panchkula on Thursday. So far, everything has gone in favour of Badshahs, the showpiece squad of the eight-team field. Looking indomitable with every outing, Badshahs won all seven league outings to top the table in style. On the eve of the clash, Badshahs draws confidence from the fact that it beat Tigers by 22 runs at Hyderabad in the league. The only worry for Badshahs is the unfavourable law of averages. And Tigers would like to prove that Badshahs may have peaked too early. “Badshahs are obviously the side to beat and the best time to win against them is in a knockout game,” said Lance Klusener, the man who played a key role in Tigers’ sensational one-run victory over Delhi Giants in a match to decide the last semifinalist at Gurgaon on Sunday.
