Law school to host international contest
Staff Reporter
BANGALORE: The National Law School of India University (NLSIU) is hosting what can be considered the World Cup of the legal students, the Louis M. Brown International Client Counselling Competition, from April 3 to 6. Supported by the International Bar Association and the Louis M Brown Trust, this event was instituted as an initiative to hone and foster ethical consideration amongst budding lawyers.
Hosted in Sydney last year, it comes to South Asia for the first time since its inception. Having won at its very first showing in the competition, it comes as no surprise that India has been chosen as the venue for this year’s event.
The NSLIU got the chance to host the event amidst stiff competition from law schools the world over. This year the client counselling competition will witness international participation with teams from all over the world, including Hong Kong, Nigeria, Scotland, Australia, Ukraine and Cambodia.
