Family robbed of Rs.20 lakh, jewellery

NEW DELHI: Two unidentified men allegedly robbed the family of a businessman, Mohammad Sayeed, of Rs.20 lakh in cash and jewellery at Preet Vihar on Wednesday. At the time, Sayeed’s wife Sajida Khatoon, her five children, a domestic help and a visitor were there in the house.At gunpoint, the robbers tied the hands and legs of the victims, collected the cash and jewellery worth Rs.50 lakh kept in the house and fled from the scene. Sayed’s eldest daughter Sheeba somehow freed herself and called up the police. A hunt for the robbers is on.
