KOCHI: Bharathiya Pattika Jana Samajam State organising secretary Raju Kumblan will go on a fast from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. before the office of the Inspector-General of Police, Ernakulam Range, on Thursday in protest against the delay in taking disciplinary action against the police officer who allegedly roughed up P.K. Pankajakshan, State treasurer of BPJS. The Samajam took out rallies to the Thrikakkara police station and the IG’s office calling for action and petitioned the Chief Minister and the Home Minister. The BPJS will organise a campaign expressing solidarity with the Adivasis on strike for land and collect provisions for them on April 6.
