Loco staff protest

The All India Loco Running Staff Association has said that was severe shortage of running staff (loco pilots) in the South Western Railway and it has increased the burden on existing loco pilots stretching their working hours and depriving them of weekly offs and leave. Of the 2,118 posts of loco pilots, 514 posts are vacant. To demand filling of these vacancies and putting forward other demands, members of the association will hold demonstrations across the SWR – Hubli, Castle Rock, Hospet, Mysore and Bangalore on April 4 at 10 a.m.
