VSP in final

VISAKHAPATNAM: Host Visakhapatnam Steel Plant made the final of the Vizag Steel Cup football tournament with a 3-2 win over East Coast Railway Sports Association in the first semifinal at the Trishna ground (Ukkunagaram) here on Wednesday.

The result was decided in the penalty shootout after the regulation time ended goalless. D. Bhaskar, M. Govind and K.V.A. Rao found the target for VSP, while Ch. Eswara Rao and Rajanna were successful for the railway team.

Fort Union FC and Deichmen Club will play the second semifinal on Thursday. — Special Correspondent
