Empowering the under-privileged

CHENNAI: A national seminar on ‘Empowering the bottom of the pyramid’ was recently organised by the Department of Management Sciences, Velammal Engineering College.

The concept of empowering the under-privileged and the role of management were covered in 30 papers presented at the seminar.

Executive vice-president of Polaris Technologies Soma Sanjeevan spoke about the concept, while vice-president of HSBC Bank Chandrasekar highlighted the support available for setting up micro enterprises. Deputy General Manager of NABARD Sukumar participated, said a release.
