Muzaffarnagar: A newly-married army jawan was shot dead by a gang of dacoits when he tried to resist their attempt to snatch his motorcycle, police said on Thursday. Rinu (26) was returning to his Kutba village with his wife on Wednesday when the dacoits intercepted the couple and took away his motorcycle. When he resisted their attempt, he was shot dead. Rinu, who got married to Babli on March 16, had come to his native village on leave.
