Over 9 lakh voters in Uttara Kannada

SIRSI: After the delimitation of constituencies in Uttara Kannada district, 9,47,713 voters in six constituencies will exercise their franchise in the Assembly elections, according to a release here on Thursday.

The number of voters and booths in six constituencies in the district are as follows: Sirsi-Siddapur constituency 1,59,084 voters (male voters 81,131, female voters 77,953) and number of booths 204; Yellapur constituency 1,37,906 voters (male 71,315, female 66,591) booths 177; Kumata 1,55,823 voters (male 80,056, female 75,767) booths160; Bhatkal 1,71,858 voters (male 88,349, female 83,509) booths 182; Karwar 1,81,697 voters (male 92,183, female 89,514) booths 197; Haliyal 1,41,345 voters (male 72,964, female 68,381) and the number of booths is 159.
