“Quality education for women a must”

PERAMBALUR: Imparting quality education for women was the need of the hour for the overall development of the country, said the Managing Director of Bannari Amman Sugars, Coimbatore, S. V. Balasubramanium.
Delivering the convocation address at the annual convocation of the Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of Arts and Science for Women here recently, Mr. Balasubramanium urged the students to keep their minds open and acquire knowledge throughout their lives.
He commended the service rendered by the Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan educational institutions in providing quality education to women hailing from backward and rural areas and said this will go a long way in uplifting them. He conferred degrees on the young graduates and post-graduates and gave away prizes to the University rank holders and other academic achievers.
The Principal of the college, R. M. Meenakshi presented a report. The founder and chairman of the college, A. Srinivasan, the Chairman of the J. J. College of Engineering and Technology, P. Selvaraj, the secretary of the Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of Arts and Science, M. Neelaraj, felicitated the new graduates.
