KADAPA: Gales damaged banana and papaya plantations in about 200 acres in Obulavaripalle mandal in Railway Kodur constituency, causing loss of lakhs of rupees. Gales uprooted banana and papaya plants in Bommavaram, B. Kammapalle, Botumeedapalle, Govindampalle and B.P. Rachapalle panchayats in Obulavaripalle mandal. Farmers were aghast at loss of the crop on the verge of harvest. -Special Correspondent
