Cadets told to emulate Swati

Staff Reporter

VISAKHAPATNAM: “Only a flyer can experience what it feels to be in the air, and not everyone can achieve that distinction”, said Air Commodore A.C. Bharali, Deputy Director General, NCC, AP Directorate.

He came here to felicitate cadet T. Swati of 6 (A) Air Squadron NCC, who has become the first girl cadet from AP Directorate and the third girl cadet in the country to undertake solo flying in a Zenair Microlite aircraft. Addressing the gathering, he said that Swati’s achievement was an inspiration for other cadets.

He wished that more girl cadets from the unit would take to solo flying in future.

He called for team spirit. Wing Commander A.K. Gupta Captain (IN) A.S. Baghel, Group Commander of NCC were present.
