RSP engineer stabbed to death

Rourkela: An engineer in the Rourkela Steel Plant was allegedly killed by his senior colleague, according to the police. Debasis Behera, who was stabbed near his residence in the sector four area last night, was later declared dead at the Ispat General Hospital. Behera was working as a senior engineer in the coal chemical department of the plant.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Rama Panda told reporters that Omsankar Dhurbee, an engineer working as Manager, Tonnage Oxygen Plant (TCP) No 2 in the steel plant, was subsequently arrested in connection with the case.

Dhurbee confessed to committing the crime with a sharp kitchen knife suspecting Behera’s illicit affair with his wife, the DSP said.
