Cellphones recovered

Sonepat: Ten mobile phones were recovered from jail inmates by authorities of district jail here in a routine search operation on Friday, an official said.

Investigations are also going on into alleged links of certain prisoners with some political leaders and bureaucrats of the region, Sunil Sangwan, officiating jail superintendent, said.

The prisoners, from whom the mobile phones were recovered, will be prosecuted in accordance with the jail manual, he added.
