Work together, Congress workers told

Staff Correspondent

DAVANGERE: B.S. Gnanadesikan, Rajya Sabha member and All-India Congress Committee observer, has called upon party workers not to get disheartened if they are not given ticket to contest the coming Assembly elections.

Addressing them before having a one-on-one discussion with aspiring candidates here on Thursday, he asked them to support the party and work together for its victory.

Mr. Gnanadesikan said there would be several aspirants for each Assembly segment, and the party could give ticket to any one of them based on various factors. Seeking an opportunity to contest the elections was quite natural, he said. Abdul Jabbar was present.
