Rally taken out to mark Literacy Day

Kakinada: The Umar Alisha Rural Development Trust (UARDT), Pitapuram organised a rally here on Friday as part of the 16th Umar Alisha Literacy Day celebrations, seeking collective efforts to improve literacy rate.

Speaking on the occasion, trust chairman Umar Alisha said cent percent literacy was the only answer to all ills facing the country and each individual should feel it as his/her responsibility to educate those who lag behind in the social strata due to illiteracy.

Third additional district judge B Nagamaruti Sarma, Kakinada MLA Mutha Gopalakrishna and others participated in the rally.
