File case against Rosaiah: Telugu Desam leaders

Correspondent

VIZIANAGARAM: The TDP district committee has said a case against K. Rosaiah, Finance Minister, under SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act must be filed for calling Deputy Speaker G. Kutuhulamma ‘a dalit’ in the Assembly.

Campaign condemned

Condemning the campaign against its party president N. Chandrababu Naidu for his reported remarks against the Deputy Speaker on the other day in Assembly, the party district president Yadla Ramana Murty told a press conference on Friday that Mr. Rosaiah twisted the facts to sidetrack the debate on no-confidence motion and it was he who called Dr. Kutuhulamma “a dalit” in the Assembly. Why the Congress SC Cell leaders remained silent when Vundavilli Arun Kumar passed disparaging statement against Dr. Ambedkar and Palakonda MLA Jogulu was insulted in the Zilla Parishad meeting, he asked.

Mr. Rosaiah levelled baseless allegations against Mr. Chandrababu Naidu to gain political mileage and to divert attention of people from the debate on no trust motion, he said.

He said the Left parties and the BJP found nothing insulting in the video tapes, Mr. Murty said. TDP SC Cell leader general secretary Ch. Appa Rao and other leaders were present.
