KOCHI: The State government has allotted Rs.144.80 crore towards Plan fund to the local self-government bodies in the district for 2008-’09. According to this, 88 grama panchayats in the district will receive Rs. 72.23 crore. The amount allocated to the panchayats under three heads — general fund (GF) — Rs. 51.92 crore; special component plan (SCP) — Rs.21.16 crore; and tribal sub-plan (TSP) — Rs.72 lakh — comes to Rs. 73.80 crore.
