There will be 777 polling booths in the district which has four Assembly segments CHAMARAJANAGAR: Chamarajanagar district has 7,07,734 voters, according to the revised electoral rolls. In a press release here, the district administration said that Hanur Assembly constituency with 1,80,210 voters (91,798 men and 88,412 women) had the highest number of electorate in the district followed by Kollegal (SC Reserve) constituency with 1,79,748 voters (91,772 men and 87,976 women); Gundlepet with 1,76,633 voters (89,506 men and 87,127 women); and Chamarajanagar constituency with 1,71,143 voters (86,736 men and 84,407 women). Of the 777 polling booths in the district, Gundlepet constituency has 204 booths followed by 196 booths in Hanur constituency, 195 in Chamarajanagar constituency and 182 in Kollegal constituency. The revised voters’ list has been put up in all the polling booths, taluk offices, Assistant Commissioner’s office and municipal corporation office. If there are any discrepancies in the list, eligible voters can submit the relevant application and get them corrected, the release said. The officers concerned will receive the applications at polling booths on Saturday and Sunday as part of a special drive according to the release.
