ERODE: Buses run by Karnataka and Tamil Nadu governments and private players have stopped plying across the border, in Sathyamangalam hills.

According to sources, the movement of buses was stopped following protest by a Kannada organisation in Chamarajanagar on Friday. The movement of lorries was also stopped.

Police sources in Erode said while majority of the vehicles were stopped near the Bannari Amman check post, a few were stopped in the hills near Thalavady. The move was a precautionary measure, they added.
