Sathish bowls well

TIRUCHI: S. Sathish scalped five wickets as Urumu Dhanalakshmi College ‘A’ scored a 34-run win over Rainbow CC in a Canara Bank-Tiruchi DCA fifth division league cricket match here.

The scores:

First division: MAP CC 219 for eight in 40 overs bt NIT 168 in 39.5 overs (Badrinath 50).

Second division: Jaguar CC 96 in 28.2 overs lost to Majestic CC 100 for nine in 29 overs (S. Sundarrajan four for 25).

Fourth division: Seven Star CC 95 in 27 overs (Sridhar four for 22, Ananthanarayanan four for eight) bt Golden Arrows CC 87 in 22.3 overs (A. Zahir Hussain four for 19, Nazeer Ahmed four for 22).

Breeze CC 97 in 27 overs lost to Lehar CC 98 for eight in 26 overs S. Chandra Suresh four for 14).

Fifth division: Manachanallur Junior ‘B’ CC 125 for nine in 26 overs bt Seagull CC 103 in 26 overs.

Urumu Dhanalakshmi College ‘A’ CC 162 in 28.2 overs (B. Gokulakrishnan 62) bt Rainbow CC 128 in 25 overs (S. Sathish five for 28).

Brace by Baskaran

Baskaran scored a brace as Balu MFC edged out Students FC 2-1 in a Tiruchi DFA super division football league fixture here on Friday. Kaviarasan netted for the loser.
