Arun Kumar nets winner

NEW DELHI: All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) scored a 1-0 victory over Urban Development in a Group ‘A’ match of the ‘A’ Division DSA inter-institutional football league for the Chief Minister’s Cup at the Ambedkar Stadium here on Friday.

The goal came in the 56th minute through Arun Kumar.

In Thursday’s matches, Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) and Food Corporation of India (HQ) scored victories. In Group ‘A’, ESIC beat Zakir Husain College 2-1.

Shekhar and Pushpender Kundu scored for the winner while Vikas Rawat reduced the margin.

ESIC has six points from two matches while ZHC completed its engagements with six points.

In Group ‘B’, FCI (HQ) beat Oriental Bank of Commerce 2-1.

Sanjeev Sharma put OBC in the lead in the first half.

Bikramjit Singh equalised in the 43rd minute while Kulbhushan scored the winner six minutes later.

FCI has four points from four games while OBC has six from three. — Special Correspondent
