Fine knocks by Sumit, Varun

NEW DELHI: Fine knocks by Sumit Rana (72) and Varun Kumar (50) and good bowling by Anshul Lamba (three for 28) and Vikas Mishra (two for 29) helped West Group beat Poorvi Delhi Coaching Centre by eight wickets and enter the pre-quarterfinals of the 15th Shera Pandit Memorial SP Trophy cricket tournament at the Mohan Meakin ground here.

Rana was named Man-of-the -Match.

The scores: PDCC 175 for seven in 35 overs (Vivek Srivastava 62) lost to West Group 179 for two in 26.4 overs (Sumit Rana 72, Varun Kumar 50).
