Vivek shines

NEW DELHI: Good batting by Vivek Verma (80) and fine spells by Manoj Lohia (four for 23) and Rajeev Rawat (three for 42) helped Malik Sports beat Kailash Nagar Ccolts by two runs and enter the quarterfinals of the 31st all-India Jawahar Lal Nehru memorial cricket tournament for Raj Kumar Kohli Trophy here. Verma was declared the Man-of-the-Match.

The scores: Malik Sports 216 in 32.1 overs (Vivek Verma 80, Dharmender Pandey 40, Udit Singhal four for 31) bt KN Colts 214 for eight in 35 overs (Ompal Bokan 52, Harpreet Singh 51, Monoj Lohia four for 23).
