KVPS protests against assigned land acquisition

Sangareddy: The Medak district committee of the Kulavivaksha Vyatireka Porata Sangham (KVPS), in a memorandum submitted to the House Committee on Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes here on Friday, asked the government to stop acquiring land assigned to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.

Plea for market rate

The KVPS wanted market rate for the land in case the need was unavoidable in nature. It warned of agitation by Dalits if agricultural lands were taken for Indiramma housing.

The Sangham demanded implementation of Justice Punnaiah Committee recommendations in true spirit.
