Temple ‘hundi’ burgled

KANCHEEPURAM: Offerings made by devotees in the ‘nithya annadhanam hundi’ at Sri Katchabeswarar Temple here was stolen on Thursday night.

According to the police, the thieves should have stayed back on the premises when the temple was locked on Thursday night. The incident came to light on Friday morning when the temple was opened.

The thieves had also tried to break open another ‘hundi’ but in vain, the police said.
