BHUBANESWAR: From the man of flying colours - the week-long art exhibition that opened in the city on Friday has been showcasing the art works of 27 eminent men besides, the works of women. All these artists, who are young, yet established, hail from different corners of the country but the thread that binds them firmly together is their alma mater - Khairagarh University in Chhatisgarh - where they studied art. These artists are from Assam, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Orissa and Chhatisgarh - their sensibilities are different. And their works on display at the Orissa Modern Art Gallery celebrate that diversity. In use of mediums, colours and textures apart from the theme, the paintings, graphics and sculptures offer the distinct signature of one of the prominent art institutions of the nation where they honed their skills. The exhibition will be displayed at the Orissa Modern Art Gallery till April 10.
