Teachers guild alleges raw deal

Staff Reporter

Kakinada: Andhra Pradesh Teachers’ Guild (APTG) State president Md. Khasim has called upon teachers working in aided schools, to be united to get their demands fulfilled and accused the government of meting step-motherly treatment to aided schools.

Addressing a meeting of the guild organised here on Saturday, Mr. Khasim said aided school teachers were making valuable contribution to improving the literacy rate and the education standards in general but the government continues its indifferent attitude to their plight.

Mr. Khasim said teachers would attend to duties by wearing black badges till April 23 and the ongoing agitation would be intensified further if the Government does not respond to their problems.

APTG State committee member LK Chinnappa, district president V Lakshminarayana, secretary D Sudhakar and others participated in the meeting.
