Businessman shot dead

KORAPUT: Sayam Lakha, a young businessman from Jindelguda village under Motu police station area of Malkangiri district, was shot dead by naxalites in his in-law’s house at Ragidipalli near MV-79 village of the district in the early hours of Saturday. According to police, Sayam was in his in-law’s house to attend a marriage ceremony when a group of armed naxalites fired at him. The naxalites had kept him as target for a long time suspecting him to be a police informer, sources added.
