Discussions receive encouraging response Curse of the Golden Flower to be screened today KOCHI: The Metro International Film Festival which entered the second day on Saturday witnessed increased participation from viewers. An interactive programme on some of the films on show received encouraging response from the spectators at the Sridhar theatre. Adayalangal, a Malyalam film by M.G. Sasi, which was screened in the morning was subjected to a thorough discussion and two of the actors replied to the queries. The American film, ‘11th Hour’, which depicted the environmental degradation and the angst it generated among thinkers offered good viewing, but there were not many takers. Journey of an Indian farmer, a Hindi short film, too was remarkable for the depiction of the sensibilities of a farmer among the ultra modern society. The films to be featured at the festival on Sunday include Italian film La Avventura, Kannada film Beru, Italian film One out of Two and Chinese film Curse of Golden Flower.
