BJP to agitate against price rise

CHITTOOR: The BJP State vice-president N.P. Venkateswara Choudary told that the party would conduct agitations at mandal and constituency-level from March 12 to 20 against the price increase of essential commodities.
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday he said that the party core committee meeting was held recently discussed several measures to be taken to strengthen the party at village-level keeping in view of the ensuing elections. The party foundation day would be celebrated on Sunday at mandal and constituency-level during which party flags would be unfurled. Ambedkar birthday would be celebrated at party offices on March 14.The party has taken a decision to reserve 33 per cent for mahilas in the working committees. State general secretary K Santha Reddy told that the party would wage a war against forceful religious conversions. As part of this the party had undertaken agitations for evangelical activities at Hindu temples in and around Tirupathi and Kanipakam temple. In this connection the police have booked 44 cases against the agitators.
