Four officials in Lokayukta net
BANGALORE: The Lokayukta police on Friday trapped four officials in Raichur, Mangalore and Udupi while they were allegedly accepting bribes.
Gulbarga Electricity Supply Company Assistant Engineer Prabhakar Sugoor was caught while allegedly accepting Rs. 40,000 from Mohammed Hussain to overlook the tampering of electricity meter.
Hanumanthaiah, a Police Inspector in Mangalore, was caught while allegedly accepting Rs. 5,000 from constable Sanjeeva to close a charge memo.
The District Manager and a clerk of the Backward Classes and Minorities Development Corporation, Udupi, were arrested for allegedly accepting bribe for releasing subsidy.
