BELLARY: Gulagi Nagaraj, former zilla panchayat president and Janata Dal (S) leader has been reappointed president of the district unit of the party. He will take charge on April 7 from H. Hanumanthappa. JD(S) State president Merajuddin Patil has asked Mr. Nagaraj to take charge with immediate effect. His reappointment as president has put an end to speculation that he would be joining the Congress. Mr. Nagaraj was removed from the post when he backed M.P. Prakash, who has joined the Congress. — Staff Correspondent
